Baseball Recap: Franklinton Takes a Loss

Franklinton couldn't beat East Wake Academy on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Red Rams lost 17-6 to the Eagles. If the Red Rams were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jackson Zirulnik was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Franklinton has also been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for East Wake Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Franklinton has already played their next contest, a 17-0 loss against East Wake on the 24th. As for East Wake Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-5 win against NCSSM: Durham on the 28th.
