Basketball Recap: Dominion Comes Up Short

Dominion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Heritage Pride, falling 63-16. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-12 back in January.

Heritage was led to victory by Keira Stanford and Riley Makitka. Stanford went 6 of 11 on her way to 13 points along with six boards and six steals, while Makitka posted ten points in addition to five assists and three steals. Those 13 points gave Stanford a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anna Egnotovich, who earned ten points.

Dominion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Heritage, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Dominion has already played their next contest (against Tuscarora), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Heritage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-46 victory against Stone Bridge on the 1st.
