Washington Union scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost to the Hanford West Huskies on the road by a 71-57 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 70-60 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2017.

Washington Union's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allen Ventura, who posted 15 points. Ventura is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for six straight games. Johnathan Vega was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Washington Union dropped their record down to 1-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hanford West, with the win, they broke their 19-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-17.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Exeter the next time they take the court. Hanford West will host Exeter at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Washington Union will host them at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd.
