Basketball Recap: Gresham Community Skates Past Stockbridge with Ease + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wild Rose, Gresham Community was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past Stockbridge 43-15. The Wildcats' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Gresham Community can attribute much of their success to Alivia Perez, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Perez is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Allie Cerveny, who posted nine points and three steals.

Gresham Community was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Gresham Community's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Stockbridge, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Gresham Community and Stockbridge will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Wildcats see the court they'll take on Weyauwega-Fremont at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026. As for Stockbridge, their break will end when they face Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
