Preview: Sheffield Knights vs. Ripley Tigers
The Sheffield Knights will be playing at home against the Ripley Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sheffield's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
Sheffield can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They blew past Wooddale 42-14 at home.
Sheffield can attribute much of their success to Davion Sledge, who threw for 131 yards and three touchdowns, and Radarious Jackson, who picked up 110 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Ripley was beaten by Dyersburg 45-15 on Thursday. Ripley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sheffield's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.4 points per game. As for Ripley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Sheffield came up short against Ripley when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 26-21. Can Sheffield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
