Football Recap: Beachwood Falls to Bishop Rosecrans in First Game of Season

Beachwood unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 42-8 defeat at the hands of the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Hayden Perdue went supernova For Bishop Rosecrans., throwing for 113 yards and three TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also punching in two rushing scores. What's more, Perdue racked up 166.7 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jacobie Balo, who rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown.

Coming up, Beachwood will face off against John Adams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Rosecrans, they will take on New London at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
