Baseball Recap: Pine Ridge Takes a Loss

Pine Ridge and Mulberry squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Pine Ridge had to settle for second. They fell just short of Mulberry by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, Pine Ridge's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Pine Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abiezer Robledo, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Robledo has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Pine Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 13-10-2. As for Mulberry, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

While Pine Ridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
