North Point took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Northern, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots on Friday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since March 28th.

Everett Myers tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aidan Espejo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

The win made it two in a row for North Point and bumps their season record up to 9-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Northern, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
