Recap: Ripon Indians vs. Bear Creek Bruins
On Saturday, the Ripon Indians's game was all tied up 29-29 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 61-50 victory over Bear Creek. Given Ripon's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Bear Creek is ranked 546th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ripon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marcus Madoski led the charge by scoring 19 points along with 6 rebounds. The game was Madoski's third in a row with at least ten points. Dawson Downs was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 9 rebounds.
Ripon's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Bear Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Ripon will be playing at home against Golden Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bear Creek is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Valley at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Valley is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
