Baseball Game Preview: Naperville Central Redhawks vs. Metea Valley Mustangs

For the second straight game, Naperville Central will face off against Metea Valley. The Redhawks will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Naperville Central is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Naperville Central is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since April 21st on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Metea Valley 7-5.

For Metea Valley's part, Michael Willhite made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Reilly, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Naperville Central's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Metea Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.
