Preview: Northeast Dubois Jeeps vs. Loogootee Lions
After two games on the road, Northeast Dubois is heading back home. They will take on the Loogootee Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Loogootee took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Northeast Dubois, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Northeast Dubois didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Barr-Reeve, but they still walked away with a 36-31 win.
Meanwhile, Loogootee came up short against Southridge on Saturday and fell 47-34. While losing is never fun, Loogootee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Southridge is ranked 123rd).
Northeast Dubois is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Loogootee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.
Everything went Northeast Dubois' way against Loogootee in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as Northeast Dubois made off with a 45-22 win. Does Northeast Dubois have another victory up their sleeve, or will Loogootee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
