After a string of four wins, Alfred-Almond's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Andover Panthers by a score of 8-6. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Alfred-Almond's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Andover, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Coming up, Alfred-Almond will square off against Jasper-Troupsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Andover, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-4 loss against Cuba-Rushford on the 10th.
