Basketball Recap: Hartselle Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hartselle dropped to 3-2 on Friday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 59-29 loss at the hands of the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.

As for Mortimer Jordan, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Mortimer Jordan found their leader in sophomore Kaylani Scottland, who posted 12 points. Scottland also set a new season-high mark in three-point shooting accuracy with 80%. Kaleah Chatman was another key player, putting up seven points.

Coming up, Hartselle will welcome Hewitt-Trussville at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mortimer Jordan, they will square off against Hillcrest at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
