Soccer Recap: Helias' Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Helias lost against Quincy back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Crusaders fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Helias came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 35th in Missouri, while Quincy are ranked 197th in Illinois).

Helias' defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Quincy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-11-1.

When Helias and Quincy next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Crusaders will challenge Pleasant Hill and their four-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Quincy will try to stop Glenwood's three-game winning streak when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
