Basketball Recap: Greenhill Picks Up 21st Straight Win at Home

Greenhill had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Dallas Christian Chargers 79-45. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 24 points or more this season.

Leading Greenhill to victory were DIllon Watt and Jaxson Thompson. Watt posted 20 points and six steals, while Thompson earned 18 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eli Sims, who put up 11 points and four steals.

Greenhill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Dallas Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Caleb Radford, who had ten points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Quintin Hankins, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Greenhill pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Dallas Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Greenhill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 111-64 win against Kingdom Collegiate Academy on the 28th.
