Baseball Recap: Shandon Takes a Loss

Shandon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-2 to the Coastal Christian Conquerors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Conquerors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on April 1st.

Eric Ruelas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

Shandon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Coastal Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Shandon will be playing at home against San Luis Obispo Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coastal Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Valley Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Conquerors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
