Baseball Recap: Islip Takes a Loss

Islip was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to the Sayville Golden Flashes. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Buccaneers, who until this contest were averaging 3.8 runs allowed.

Islip's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Sayville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

While Islip had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
