Volleyball Recap: Phillipsburg Comes Up Short

Phillipsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Goodland Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on October 4th.

While Phillipsburg was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22.

Phillipsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 13-23. As for Goodland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-7 record this season.

Phillipsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Goodland, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Ellsworth on the 20th.
