Softball Recap: Eufaula Drops Season-High Score on Geneva County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eufaula). They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over the Geneva County Bulldogs on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won three games in a row.

Eufaula got a massive performance out of Emerson Faircloth, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Faircloth has posted since back in February. Maddie Dowling was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Eufaula was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Eufaula's record now sits at 9-15. As for Geneva County, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 11-7 record.

Eufaula has already played their next match, an 11-0 defeat against Rehobeth on the 7th. As for Geneva County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-5 victory against Northside Methodist Academy on the 7th.
