Basketball Recap: Huffman Extends Winning Streak to Four

Huffman had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They took down the Gadsden City Titans 57-42. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Titans are ranked 65th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Huffman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Gadsden City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Huffman will welcome Shades Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gadsden City, they and Pell City will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Gadsden City is facing Pell City at the right time seeing as Pell City is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
