Softball Recap: St. Joseph Cadets vs. Staples Wreckers
While St. Joseph's win against Staples wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cadets skirted past the Wreckers 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cadets have posted since April 6th.

Katie Dzialo was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Dzialo was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
Dzialo wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was MacKenzie Caouette, who went 1-for-4 with one run.
St. Joseph's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Staples, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
