Soccer Recap: American Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for American after they claimed the first goal on Wednesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Washington Huskies by a score of 2-1. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

American's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Washington, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, American will host Irvington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Washington, they are taking a road trip to challenge Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
