Softball Recap: Hermon Hawks vs. Ellsworth Eagles

There's no place like home for Hermon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let the Ellsworth Eagles get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 5-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Braelyn Wilcox made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Wilcox was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Rebecca Balmas was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Gallant, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Hermon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ellsworth only posted an OBP of .143.
