Baseball Recap: Lake Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Lake dropped their record down to 20-7 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-2 to the Napoleon Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 on Friday.

As for Napoleon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-6-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Napoleon's part, Parker Woods and Owen Espinoza did most of the damage at the plate: Woods went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Espinoza went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Woods has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Mason Trausch, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Napoleon, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Benedictine on the 4th.
