Basketball Recap: Sanford Comes Up Short

If Sanford was feeling good fresh off their 74-50 takedown of Oxford Hills last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sanford Spartans took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scarborough Red Storm. The match marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sanford has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Scarborough, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sanford and Portland will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Scarborough, they will face off against South Portland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
