Volleyball Recap: Tempe Gets the Win

While Tempe's win against Yuma wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Buffaloes narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Criminals 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their matchups with the Criminals: they've now won five in a row.

Several Criminals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Larissa Franco, who had eight aces and seven digs. Franco has been hot recently, having posted four or more aces the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Crouch, who had seven digs and seven aces.

Tempe's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Yuma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Tempe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Desert Sunrise on the 27th. As for Yuma, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Cortez on the 27th.
