Softball Recap: Chaminade-Madonna Lions vs. McArthur Mustangs

In what's become a running theme this season, Chaminade-Madonna gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the McArthur Mustangs as the Chaminade-Madonna Lions made off with a 16-1 victory. The win was just what Chaminade-Madonna needed coming off of a 10-1 defeat in their prior contest.

Madelyn DeMouy made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (she also only allowed one walk). DeMouy has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. DeMouy was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

In other batting news, Chaminade-Madonna got a massive performance out of Lucia McLogan, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-5. Raegan Tortorici was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs.

On McArthur's side, Janellys Herrera made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2.
