Softball Recap: Navarre Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Navarre walked away with it. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the South Lake Eagles a 4-0 shutout on Thursday.

The result came thanks to Kayden Riddle's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Renee Hester was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

Navarre's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-9. As for South Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Looking ahead, Navarre will challenge Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. South Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
