James F. Byrnes entered their tilt with Spartanburg on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won 18 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

James F. Byrnes pushed their record up to 25-3 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Spartanburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
