Basketball Game Preview: Faith Christian Falcons vs. Rockford FIRE HomeSchool FIRE

Faith Christian and Rockford FIRE HomeSchool are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Faith Christian Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Rockford FIRE HomeSchool FIRE at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.9 points per game this season.

Faith Christian is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since February 24, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past Galilean Christian Academy 86-84. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Carson Bivins, who went 13 of 29 en route to 37 points along with five rebounds and four steals. His afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Bivins, who went 7 of 11 en route to 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Faith Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Rockford FIRE HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 64-14 defeat at the hands of Northeast Wisconsin Christian HomeSchool. The contest marked the FIRE's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Rockford FIRE HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Faith Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Faith Christian took their win against Rockford FIRE HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 58-37. Does Faith Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rockford FIRE HomeSchool turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
