It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dawson had no problem doing just that on Monday. They put the hurt on the Clear Springs Chargers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won 19 matchups in a row.
Avery Koonsen paced Dawson's offense, picking up 11 kills. Koonsen got some help from Taylor Ranney and her 19 assists. Koonsen and Ranney didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.
Despite the loss, Clear Springs still got an impressive performance from Lianna Kearns, who had 19 digs and one assist. Kearns is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.
