It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dawson had no problem doing just that on Monday. They put the hurt on the Clear Springs Chargers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won 19 matchups in a row.

Avery Koonsen paced Dawson's offense, picking up 11 kills. Koonsen got some help from Taylor Ranney and her 19 assists. Koonsen and Ranney didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Despite the loss, Clear Springs still got an impressive performance from Lianna Kearns, who had 19 digs and one assist. Kearns is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Dawson's victory bumped their record up to 39-4. As for Clear Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 35-11 record this season.

Dawson will square off against Fulshear at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clear Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
