Softball Recap: Somerville Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Somerville is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Voorhees on Tuesday, but Voorhees came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Pioneers came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Vikings. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Somerville pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Voorhees, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Somerville will take on Dover at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Voorhees will be paying especially close attention to the Pioneers' contest: after the Pioneers faces off against the Tigers, they'll take on Voorhees again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
