Basketball Recap: Southmoore Falls Short Against Ranked Deer Creek

On Tuesday, Southmoore faced Deer Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Southmoore SaberCats fell 59-49 to the Deer Creek Antlers. That makes it the first time this season the SaberCats have let down their home crowd.

Southmoore's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Deer Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Coming up, Southmoore will welcome Putnam City West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Deer Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
