Baseball Game Preview: Marion Wildcats vs. Triad Knights

Marion is 0-3 against Triad since May of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Knights at 4:30 p.m.

Herrin hit Marion with a six-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Triad got the win against Alton on Monday by a conclusive 10-3. Considering the Knights have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Triad and bumps their season record up to 25-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-7.
