Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Giles). They really took it to the Auburn Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-27 win. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

It was another big night for Jalen Miller, who rushed for 167 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Luke Humphreys was another key player, rushing for 68 yards and one score on only six carries.

Despite the loss, Auburn still got an impressive performance from Isayah Hamann, who rushed for 142 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries, and also picked up 64 receiving yards and one TD. James King got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Giles' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Auburn, they moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Giles will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fort Chiswell at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Auburn, they will face off against Northwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
