Baseball Recap: Hastings Takes a Loss

Hastings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northwest Mounties. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Saxons of the 18-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Hastings saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dustin Lampart, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Hastings' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Northwest, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mounties beat Hastings by a score of 5-3 later that day.
