Montezuma-Cortez can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Cedaredge Bruins as the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers made off with a 20-5 victory. This was a revenge matchup for the Panthers, as the team was forced to settle for an 11-10 loss when these two played on Thursday.

Aubrey Rutherford and Saylor Martinez did most of the damage at the plate: Rutherford fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4, while Martinez went 4-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Carver, who scored four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
