Baseball Game Preview: St. Brendan Sabres vs. Calvary Christian Academy Eagles

For the second straight game, St. Brendan will face off against Calvary Christian Academy. The Sabres will challenge the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Brendan will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

St. Brendan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Calvary Christian Academy 3-2.

Giannicarlo Guzman-Garcia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run.

In other pitching news, Luciano Nava looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

Guzman-Garcia wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jorge Heredia, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Calvary Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-10-3. As for St. Brendan, their record now sits at 16-11.
