Delphi Community was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Clinton Prairie on Monday. The Oracles were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Gophers. The result was nothing new for the Oracles, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Brett Huffman and Josh Hartley did most of the damage at the plate: Huffman got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI, while Hartley got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Delphi Community is undefeated when Hartley posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise. Levi Coghill was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Delphi Community was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Delphi Community has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Clinton Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Looking ahead, Delphi Community will be playing at home against Fountain Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clinton Prairie, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hamilton Heights at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
