Basketball Recap: 11 Straight Road Victories for Valley Christian

Valley Christian won the last time they faced Coolidge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Valley Christian Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over the Coolidge Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since February 5, 2024.

Despite the loss, Coolidge still got an impressive performance from Alaysia White, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 boards. White has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 37 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Naylissa Charles, who posted seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Valley Christian pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Coolidge, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.

Valley Christian will welcome Thatcher at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coolidge, they will venture away from home to take on Florence at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
