Baseball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington lost against Fort Zumwalt East last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bluejays fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. The Bluejays' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Washington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nakai Scott, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Fort Zumwalt East, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

Coming up, Washington will head out on the road to take on Rolla at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bluejays are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Fort Zumwalt East, they will host Parkway West at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
