Basketball Recap: Morton Ranch Takes a Loss

Morton Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cinco Ranch Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mavericks of the 68-61 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Morton Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Cinco Ranch, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Seven Lakes the next time they take the court. Morton Ranch will host Seven Lakes at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Cinco Ranch will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th.
