Recap: Tulia Hornets vs. Roosevelt Eagles
The Tulia Hornets were the 68-41 winner over the Roosevelt Eagles when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Tulia took a hard 63-46 fall against Roosevelt on Saturday. Tulia has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tulia's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zaiden Jalomo, who scored 12 points along with 8 assists and 4 steals. Jalomo is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Lopez, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Tulia has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Roosevelt, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 2-3.
Tulia will take on Boys Ranch at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roosevelt, they will head out on the road to face off against Lockney at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lockney focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday.
