Softball Recap: Clover Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clover can now relate to. They fell just short of the James F. Byrnes Rebels by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost six in a row.

Clover's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for James F. Byrnes, they pushed their record up to 23-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clover will face off against Dorman at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cavaliers have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for James F. Byrnes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mauldin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
