Softball Game Preview: Thornton Wildcats vs. Rich Township Raptors

For the second straight game, Thornton will face off against Rich Township. The Wildcats will face off against the Raptors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Thornton comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Thornton couldn't beat Rich Township on Monday even though they stacked six runs on them in the second inning. The Wildcats fell 14-9 to the Raptors.

For Rich Township's part, they got a massive performance out of Ezri Adami, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases Adami has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Naairah Ali, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Rich Township always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They are 7-3 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Thornton's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Rich Township, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-12 record.
