Basketball Recap: Elkhorn Triumphs

Elkhorn hadn't done well against Janesville Craig recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Elkhorn Elks rang in the new year with a 56-46 win over the Janesville Craig Cougars. For the Elks, this counts as revenge for the 84-72 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Elkhorn's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Janesville Craig, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.

Elkhorn will venture away from home to take on Union Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkhorn is facing Union Grove at the right time seeing as Union Grove is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Janesville Craig, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Janesville Craig Cougars duke it out with the Middleton Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
