Baseball Recap: Guilderland Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Guilderland ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against the Shenendehowa High School by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory was some much needed relief for the Flyin Dutchman as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Guilderland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Otten, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those two hits gave Otten a new career-high.

Guilderland's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Shenendehowa, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Guilderland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the High School: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
