Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Homeschool Wildcats Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lighthouse Christian

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats walked away with it. They snuck past the Lighthouse Christian Chargers with a 51-47 victory on Wednesday.

Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats found their leader in sophomore Vanden Garner, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Garner is becoming a predictor of Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats' success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is 11-4 (and 9-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Gideon Ohuabunwa, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds.

Despite the loss, Lighthouse Christian still got an impressive performance from Elijah Rahn, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave Rahn a new career-high. Lee Stinson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats' win bumped their record up to 20-14. As for Lighthouse Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 26-11.

Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-48 victory against Capital HomeSchool on the 13th. As for Lighthouse Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 79-68 win against Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF on the 13th.
