Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastern). They breezed past the Phalen Leadership Academy Falcon to the tune of 67-0 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Comets, who have now won three contests in a row.

Eastern got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bentley Hullinger out in front who rushed for 60 yards, and also picked up 60 receiving yards. Another back making a difference was Isaiah Pickett, who rushed for 62 yards and one score.

Eastern didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kaleb Hurt. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Phalen Leadership Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern will host Sheridan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Phalen Leadership Academy, they will challenge Tindley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
