Football Recap: Wray Comes Up Short

If Wray was feeling good fresh off their 42-21 takedown of Goodland last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles were outmatched by the Scott Beavers and fell 34-6. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Bryson Lewis, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wray fell to 2-1. As for Scott, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Wray will square off against Brush at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Scott, they will take on Hoisington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
